![]() What you hould look for when getting a setup for a specific location? Use shrimp on a #3/O to avoid getting gar, as they get too big for the Laker Pro setup and don't pay well. ![]() 8 ft 6/0 Lemon Crank does work too but once again, you won't catch as many. The Laker Pro setup ( 6kg/13lbs ) might be what you are looking for to fish bass in Everglades, but it is more suited for Falcon lake.īig Alli is well suited for Everglades as it can handle gar and the unique bass, but as you know, you will get red arrows on the smaller bass. And when you find the sweet spot to cast to, you can get 2 a minute. Yes they cost extra for every fish you catch but I did a Pike only day and hit $29,000 cash so it more than pays for itself. 7/0 Hook with shiners is what most people use. Now that was only 8 catches in 3 hours of peak time, if you concider how many pike you catch in the same time floating with shiners then it shows how ineffective the lures really are here for pike. The only thing that have some moderate success for me is the big #6/0 spinner. Popper 4/0 : 2 catches ( lots of miss hits ) I did some more testing during another peak time: ( Almost exactly the same as EzFishLure's setup, just a different reel ) The problem is they don't bite on lures. The problem is not the gear, I have strong gear. ![]() If going for pike you dont need to cast far so this is an ok setup :D especialy combined with a kyak :D Originally posted by darrren:i use cosmocast and a cyclone55 is to strong for any of the rods atm i use it with 0.6 floro and can use drag 5 safly hope this helps
